Various Works Under Taken and Achieved as District Incharge Minister

  1. Introduced citizen charter for the first time in the state.
  2. Introduced “ sakaala” for the first time in India and the district stood at 12th position
  3. “Arogya Dasoha Yojana” has been introduced for the first time in the state
  4. Arranged sand at the rate of Rs. 7500- by implementing new sand policy.  Special number  and permit issued to lorries carrying sand and fixing of GPS to such vehicles is under progress.
  5. Introduced Vajapayee arogya shree and  ensured benefit of this scheme to 6,40,000 BPL holders.

VARIOUS FACILITIES BROUGHT TO MYSORE AS DISCTRICT IN CHARGE MINISTER OUT OF BUDGET 2010-11 TO 2013-14

  • Got a sum of Rs. 5 crores grant sanctioned for opening of Horticulture college in the district.  Location has been identified at Yalachanahalli ( near gungral chatra) and  building work is under progress
  • A sum of Rs. 5 crores has been sanctioned for starting a export centre for ensuring better facility for the export of industrial goods of Mysore city
  • Rs. 5 crore has been sanctioned for constructing centenary building on the occasion of completion of 100 years by Silk factory. The building is under construction.
  • Got 75 crores sanctioned for opening of Jayadeva cardiology centre at KR Hospital.  Rs. 15 crores has already been released and the centre is functioning now.
  • 25 crores has been got sanctioned for various development works identified in connection with the centenary celebrations of Mysore palace.  Tender process is under way.
  • Complete Share of the state has been allocated to Railways for completing Mysore-Mandya-Ramanagar track doubling project.
  • In commemoration of the 150 years of Swamy Vivekananda, proposed to develop a park  with fountain and laser facility at the cost of 7 crores.
  • Opening of Swamy Vivekananda adhyayana Kendra
  • Construction of Kids city in the park in front of Lalith mahal palace.
  • Construction of “ Auto nagar” at an estimated cost of 220 crores
  • Rs. 2 crore grant allocated in the budget  for construction of Shankar sandesh Bhavan.
  • Rs. 2 crore grant for development works in century old st. Philomena church
  • Opening of sir. M Vishweswaraya adhyayana peeta in Mysore University
  • Five crore grant for construction of houses for adi dravida city corporation workers
  • Rs. 75 crore grant for construction of Jayadeva cardiology and research centre building in 15 acre land in the premises of Mysore sanitorium
  • Rs. 75 crore grant for construction of Kidwai cancer centre in the sanitorium premises
  • Development of vegetable market at the cost of 22 crores and flower market at the cost of 4.5 crores in Bandipalya Mysore.
